Splendor of Vietnam & Cambodia (11 Days)

Destinations: Vietnam (Hanoi – Halong Bay – Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnels – Mekong Delta) – Cambodia (Phnom Penh – Siem Reap – Tonle Sap Lake)

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (Vietnam)

Upon arrival, our guide will greet you at the airport and transfer to your hotel for check-in. Free at leisure. 

Day 2: Hanoi (B, L) 

Transfer to Ho Chi Minh Complex area to learn about of his life during revolutionary period then visit to the One Pillar pagoda. After that, going to visit the Ethnology museum where you can learn and see the various life aspects of 54 ethnic minorities in Vietnam. After lunch, going to visit the Literature temple, well known as Vietnam’s first university. You tour in Hanoi will continues with a cyclo tour around the Old Quarter & Hoan Kiem lake then enjoy the traditional water puppet show.

Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B, L, D) 

Depart for Halong Bay. Upon arrival, embark on a cruise and start cruising around the bay to see the amazing karts with different formations and then stop for a walk through the Amazing cave. There will be plenty of time for kayaking, swimming and sunbathing after the cruise anchors at a clean calm sea. Enjoy a wonderful sunset dinner and overnight on the cruise.

Day 4: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Flight to Ho Chi Minh City (B, L) 

Enjoy breakfast while cruising on the bay before stopover at the pearl farm to see the actual cultured pearl of fishermen. Back to cruise for check-out while the cruise will take you further to discover the hidden beauty of the bay. Cooking class is opened for everyone who are interested in Vietnamese food. Cruises back to the harbor then transfer to the airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 5: Ho Chi Minh City & Cu Chi Tunnels (B, L) 

Driver to Cu Chi district to visit the amazing complex of underground tunnels at Cu Chi. After lunch, transfer back to the city to visit the main sights including the Opera House, Town Hall, Notre Dame Cathedral, Reunification Palace, War Remnants museum and Ben Thanh market. 

Day 6: Mekong Delta (B, L)

Transfer to Mekong Delta then take a boat trip to discover Caibe floating market. Visit to a village for watching process of making local products, observing daily activities, enjoy Vietnamese traditional music then take a small sampan rowing by hand of local to feel the real Mekong river. After lunch, take another boat to visit Vinh Long, the center of tropical fruits then transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 7: Ho Chi Minh City – Phnom Penh (B) (Cambodia)

After breakfast, transfer to bus station for an express bus to Phnom Penh. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel for check in. Free at leisure. 

Day 8: Phnom Penh – Flight to Siem Reap (B, L) 

Transfer to visit the main sights including Royal palace, Silver pagoda, Friendship & Independence monuments, National museum and Wat Phnom. After lunch, visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide museum, the site is a former high school where was used as a prison by the communist Khmer Rouge and transfer to the Killing Fields where large numbers of people were killed and buried by the communist Khmer Rouge during the late 1970s. In the evening, take a flight to Siem Reap. 

Day 9: Angkor Thom & Angkor Wat (B, L, D)

Transfer to visit Angkor Thom including Elephant terrace, Leper King terrace, Baphuon, Royal enclosure, Phimeanakas, Bayon temple and Ta Prohm temple. After lunch, visit the Angkor Wat where is one of the 7 wonders of the world. In the evening, enjoy a dinner in front of a traditional dancing show at the Apsara Theatre.

Day 10: Banteay Srey & Big Circuit (B, L)

You will enjoy the sunrise at Angkor Wat (Optional) and spend the whole morning to explore the greatest fine-art of Angkor Empire at Banteay-Srey temple. After lunch, visit the Grand Circuit of temples: Preah Khan, Prasat Kravan, Srah Srang, Neak Poan and Ta Som. Late afternoon, you will enjoy sunset at Pre Rup temple. 

Day 11: Siem Reap & Tonle Sap Lake – Departure (B) 

Enjoy a boat trip on the Tonle Sap lake. This is a great opportunity to learn about the life of the locals in this village then get back to the airport for your own departure flight home.
