Destinations: Vietnam (Hanoi – Halong Bay – Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnels – Mekong Delta) – Cambodia (Phnom Penh – Siem Reap – Tonle Sap Lake) – Myanmar (Yangon – Bago – Golden Rock – Bagan)
Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (Vietnam)
Upon arrival, pick up and transfer to your hotel for check-in. Free at leisure. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi (B, L)
Take full day city tour to visit Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, Presidential Palace, his House on stilt and One Pillar pagoda. Next, visit the Temple of Literature – the first university of Vietnam and the Museum of Ethnology where you can learn different life aspects of 54 ethnic minorities in Vietnam. After lunch, enjoy a cyclo tour to visit the Old Quarter & Ho Guom lake then watch a performance of a traditional Water Puppet Theatre.
Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B, L, D)
Leave Hanoi for Halong Bay. Enjoying the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields. Upon arrival, board a overnight cruise to discover the legendary Halong Bay. Enjoy full board meals and many indoor & outdoor activities. Overnight on the cruise.
Day 4: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Flight to Ho Chi Minh City (B, L)
Join a Tai Chi session then enjoy an international breakfast while the cruise cruises among hundreds of islets before coming back to the pier. Drive back to the airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 5: Ho Chi Minh City & Cu Chi Tunnels (B, L)
Driver to Cu Chi district to visit the amazing complex of underground tunnels at Cu Chi. After lunch, transfer back to the city to visit the main sights including the Opera House, Town Hall, Notre Dame Cathedral, Reunification Palace, War Remnants museum and the famous Ben Thanh market.
Day 6: Mekong Delta (B, L)
Transfer to Mekong Delta. Upon arrival, take a boat trip to discover Cai Be floating market. Next, transfer to a village where you can see how the locals make rice paper, coconut candy, pop rice and enjoy Vietnamese traditional music then take a small sampan to feel the real Mekong river. After lunch, visit to a local brick kiln before taking another boat to Vinh Long, the center of tropical fruits and stopping for a short visit at local market.
Day 7: Ho Chi Minh City – Phnom Penh (B) (Cambodia)
After breakfast, transfer to Bus station for an express bus to Phnom Penh. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel for check in.
Day 8: Phnom Penh – Flight to Siem Reap (B, L)
Transfer to visit the main sights including Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, Friendship Monument, Independence Monument, National Museum and Wat Phnom. After lunch, visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, the site is a former high school where was used as a prison by the communist Khmer Rouge. Next, visit to the Killing Fields where large numbers of people were killed and buried by the communist Khmer Rouge during the late 1970s. In the evening, take a flight to Siem Reap.
Day 9: Angkor Thom & Angkor Wat (B, L, D)
Transfer to visit Angkor Thom including Elephant terrace, Leper King terrace, Baphuon, Royal enclosure, Phimeanakas and Bayon temple. Afterward, you will also visit to Ta Prohm temple, one of the most beautiful temples in the area. After lunch, visit to the Angkor Wat where is the largest & most impressive of all the temples and its one of the 7 wonders of the world. In the evening, enjoy a dinner in front of a traditional dancing show at the Apsara Theatre.
Day 10: Banteay Srey & Big Circuit (B, L)
In the early Morning, you will enjoy the sunrise at Angkor Wat (Optional) and spend the whole morning to explore the greatest fine-art of Angkor Empire at Banteay-Srey temple. After lunch, visit the Grand Circuit of temples: Preah Khan, Prasat Kravan, Srah Srang, Neak Poan and Ta Som. Late afternoon, you will enjoy sunset at Pre Rup temple.
Day 11: Siem Reap & Tonle Sap Lake – Flight to Yangon (B) (Myanmar)
Enjoy a boat trip on the Tonle Sap lake. This is a great opportunity to learn about the life of the locals in this village. Afterward, transfer to the airport for a flight to Yangon. Upon arrival, pay homage to the famed 2500-year-old Shwedagone Pagoda, the great golden dome of Shwedagone Pagoda rises 99 meters above its base and is covered with 60 tons of pure gold. Overnight in Yangon.
Day 12: Yangon (B, L)
Discover Myanmar’s glorious history at the National Museum, visit the golden Sule pagoda and enjoy a walk around Mahabandola Park to take in the colonial courthouse and city hall. After lunch, free time for shopping at Bogoyke Aung San market. Afterward, visit the Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda which houses a 72-meter reclining Buddha statue and the Chinatown Night Market where you’ll see street markets, snack vendors and many places of worship as you walk along the street.
Day 13: Yangon – Bago – Golden Rock – Kyaikhtiyo (B, L)
Transfer by car to Kyaikhtiyo. En-route you will have a stop in Bago where you will visit the town market, the huge 55-meter long Shwethalaung reclining Buddha image, the Mon style 376ft-high Shwemawdaw Pagoda which consists of four 30m-high sitting Buddha placed back-to-back around a huge, square pillar and town market. Upon arrival, get a local open truck to base camp Kinpun then you will hike to reach the spectacular Golden Rock, one of the holiest sites in Asia. Overnight in Kyaikhtiyo.
Day 14: Kyaikhtiyo – Yangon – Flight to Bagan (B)
After breakfast, head back toward Yangon airport for flight to Bagan. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for check in.
Day 15: Bagan (B, L)
Transfer to visit the colourful Nyaung OO market and the Shwezigon Pagoda. Then get to learn more about the local culture with a visit to workshop producing Bagan’s most famous products: lacquer ware and wood crafts. After lunch, visit the main monuments of Old Bagan: the Royal Palace ruins, Tharabar gate and Ananda Temple. Afterward, embark on a short horse cart ride amongst the ancient stupa ruins and finish the day’s sightseeing tour by a sunset shoot from Bagan’s most famous ‘Shwesandaw Pagoda’.
Day 16: Bagan – Flight to Yangon (B, L)
In the early morning, take a bicycle to visit the Dahayarzaka pagoda at sunrise – an unforgettable highlight of this trip. Then a flight back to Yangon, the remainder of the day is at your leisure. Overnight in Yangon.
Day 17: Yangon Departure (B)
After breakfast, enjoy your day at leisure until your transfer to airport for your onward flight.
