Vietnam & Cambodia & Thailand (20 Days)

Destinations: Vietnam (Hanoi – Halong Bay – Hue – Hoian – Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta) – Cambodia (Phnom Penh – Siem Reap – Tonle Sap Lake) – Thailand (Bangkok – Chiang Mai – Chiang Rai)

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (Vietnam)

Upon arrival, our representative will greet you at the airport and transfer to your hotel for check-in. Free at leisure.

Day 2: Hanoi (B, L) 

Transfer to visit Ho Chi Minh Complex to learn about his life during revolutionary activities then visit to One Pillar Pagoda. Continue with a visit to the Ethnology Museum where you learn the various life aspects of 54 ethnic minorities in Vietnam. After lunch, visit to the Literature Temple, the first university of Vietnam and enjoy a cyclo tour to visit Old Quarter & Hoan Kiem lake. Late afternoon, enjoy the traditional water puppet show which you will experience an overview of daily life in Vietnam’s rural areas. 

Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B, L, D)

Leave Hanoi for Halong Bay. Enjoying the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields. Upon arrival, board a overnight cruise to discover the legendary Halong Bay. Enjoy full board meals and many indoor & outdoor activities. Overnight on the cruise. 

Day 4: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Flight to Hue (B, L)

Join a Tai Chi session then enjoy an international breakfast while the cruise cruises among hundreds of islets before coming back to the pier. Drive back to the airport for a flight to Hue. Upon arrival, pick up and transfer to hotel. 

Day 5: Hue (B, L)

Enjoy a boat trip on the Perfume river to visit Thien Mu Pagoda, the oldest pagoda in Hue city then discover the Imperial Citadel & Forbidden Purple City where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 – 1945. After lunch, continue to visit the elaborate tombs of emperors Tu Duc & Khai Dinh where you will learn about Royal’s life and their architecture.

Day 6: Hue – Hoian (B)

Transfer by car over the most spectacular Hai Van Pass to Hoian. En route, visit the Marble Mountain, Cham Museum and the Stone Village. In the afternoon, enjoy a walking tour to visit the ancient town. You then continue with a visit to the home of a craftsman where you will discover the daily life of local people and observe how they make a lantern.

Day 7: Hoian – Da Nang – Flight to Ho Chi Minh City (B)

Free at leisure until transfer to the airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, pick up to hotel for check in.

Day 8: Ho Chi Minh City & Cu Chi Tunnels (B, L) 

Driver to Cu Chi district to visit the amazing complex of underground tunnels at Cu Chi. After lunch, transfer back to the city to visit the main sights including the Opera House, Town Hall, Notre Dame Cathedral, Reunification Palace, War Remnants Museum and Ben Thanh Market. 

Day 9: Mekong Delta (B, L)

Transfer to Mekong Delta then take a boat trip to discover Caibe floating market. Visit to a village for watching process of making local products, observing daily activities, enjoy Vietnamese traditional music then take a small sampan rowing by hand of local to feel the real Mekong river. After lunch, visit to a local brick kiln before taking another boat to Vinh Long, the center of tropical fruits and stopping for a short visit at a local market.

Day 10: Ho Chi Minh City – Phnom Penh (B) (Cambodia)

After breakfast, transfer to bus station for an express bus to Phnom Penh. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel for check in. Free at leisure. 

Day 11: Phnom Penh – Flight to Siem Reap (B, L) 

Transfer to visit the main sights including Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, Friendship & Independence Monuments, National Museum and Wat Phnom. After lunch, visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, the site is a former high school where was used as a prison by the communist Khmer Rouge and transfer to the Killing Fields where large numbers of people were killed and buried by the communist Khmer Rouge during the late 1970s. In the evening, take a flight to Siem Reap. 

Day 12: Angkor Thom & Angkor Wat (B, L, D)

Transfer to visit Angkor Thom including Elephant Terrace, Leper King Terrace, Baphuon, Royal enclosure, Phimeanakas, Bayon Temple and Ta Prohm Temple. After lunch, visit the Angkor Wat where is one of the 7 wonders of the world. In the evening, enjoy a dinner in front of a traditional dancing show at the Apsara Theatre.

Day 13: Banteay Srey & Big Circuit (B, L)

You will enjoy the sunrise at Angkor Wat (Optional) and spend the whole morning to explore the greatest fine-art of Angkor Empire at Banteay-Srey Temple. After lunch, visit the Grand Circuit of Temples: Preah Khan, Prasat Kravan, Srah Srang, Neak Poan and Ta Som. Late afternoon, you will enjoy sunset at Pre Rup Temple. 

Day 14: Tonle Sap Lake – Siem Reap – Flight to Bangkok (B) (Thailand)

Enjoy a boat trip on the Tonle Sap lake. This is a great opportunity to learn about the life of the locals in this village then get back to the airport for a flight to Bangkok. Upon arrival, pick up to hotel for check in. Free at leisure. Overnight in Bangkok.

Day 15: Bangkok (B, L)

You will make a city tour including the Royal Grand Palace, the Emerald Buddha, Wat Pho – the largest Buddhist temple with its colossal reclining Buddha. After lunch, take a ferry to Wat Arun, it is easily one of the most stunning temples in Bangkok, not only because of its riverside location, but also because the design is very different to the other temples you can visit in Bangkok. Next, visit Wat Traimit, the temple is famous for its 900-years old five-and-a-half-ton solid gold image, and then transfer back to your hotel.

Day 16: Floating Market & Cultural Show (B, L)

Enjoy the scenery of rural life by long tail speed boat to the floating market. At Damnoen Saduak floating market almost untouched by the modern world you will enjoy watching the farmers selling food, fruits, flowers and many kind of local products in their boats. Then visit handicraft home industry. Next, you will transfer to enjoy “The Thai Village” at Rose Garden where you will watch the ceremonies of monk’s ordination, Thai wedding ceremony the displays of sword fighting, kick boxing and flock dancing. Then back to Bangkok, en-route visit ‘PhraPathomChedi ” – Big Buda in NakornPathom.

Day 17: Bangkok – Flight to Chiang Mai (B, D)

You will transfer to the airport for a flight to Chiang Mai. Upon arrival, meet guide and transfer to hotel for check in. Late afternoon, you will enjoy the super northern Thai dinner with charming Fon-lep (Finger dance), Fon-tein (Candle dance), Ramwong (Candle dance). After Khantoke dinner, enjoy yourself again by watching shows which are performed by the hill tribes Akha, Yao, Meo, Lisu and Karen.

Day 18: Chiang Mai & Elephant Safari Tour (B, L)

Visit the Mae Tang elephant camp and see elephant at work. Take a memorable elephant riding 45 minutes through the jungle, visit the Lisu village. Then take the ox-cart riding back to the camp. Lunch is provided. In the afternoon, do adventurous bamboo rafting for 1 hour along Maetang River. The rest of the day is to visit the Orchid & Butterfly farm on the way back to your hotel in Chiang Mai.

Day 19: Chiang Rai (B, L)

Drive to visit the hot spring on the way to Chiang Rai. Continue driving for 1.5 hours to White Temple (Wat Rongkhun). Then carry on to the three country borders meet which called ‘ Golden Triangle” take long tail boat on Khong River. After lunch, drive to Maesai, the Thailand & Myanmar border city. Finally, visit the Akha, Yao and Long Neck hill tribe villages on the way back to Chiang Mai.

Day 20: Chiang Mai 1/2 Day Tour – Departure (B)

Visit Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, the most sacred temple containing a holy relic of the Lord Buddha. The temple compound offers a great view of Chiang Mai and surrounding countryside. A visit to Meo village will be made then transfer to airport for your own departure flight home.
